Adam Slemon

Adam hails from the east coast and performed in several national tours before settling in California. When he’s not acting or writing, Adam can be found producing live TV shows like the Oscars, the Emmys, and Harry Styles Live in NYC. He was diagnosed Bi Polar in 2022 and is currently seeing a psychiatrist and psychologist. He’s married to a very patient woman and has two very impatient dogs.
As Adam states on the show, his manic and depressive episodes have been a constant fight for him. His depression has ruined relationships and lost job opportunities.
Needing another outlet for therapy, Adam joined Brad in starting BatShit: Living with Mental Illness. He’s been overwhelmed by the positive response to the show and hope it continues to spark a conversation for those struggling with mental illness, their loved ones, and anyone who wants to educate themselves further on the topic.
Brad C. Hodson

A former stand-up comedian and founder of an award-winning sketch comedy group, Brad is now a novelist and screenwriter. Brad’s life has been a constant struggle against bipolar disorder even before he was diagnosed in December of 2022. That year saw his episodes escalate to a crippling extent, as is unfortunately common with untreated men in their forties.
His depressive episodes destroyed his health, and he and his wife were on the verge of divorce. His manic episodes caused him to hurt himself and the people around him, leading to the loss of important friendships. His diagnosis was simultaneously difficult for him to accept while also making so much sense of the uncontrollable and unpredictable behavior he’d been struggling with.
Once diagnosed, he started both therapy and medication to regain control. He wishes he could say he’s cured, yet still struggles from time to time. But being on medication and recognizing when the episodes come on allows him to fight them.
Needing a laugh, and wanting to combat the stigma against and misinformation about mental illness he’s faced since his diagnosis, Brad joined Adam in starting BatShit: Living with Mental Illness.
